In September 2009 a 50 strong party of members visited 'Arundells' the home of the late Sir Edward Heath in Salisbury. The front of the house faces the green of Salisbury Cathedral and the gardens back on to the river. The rear of the property dates from the 13th century, believed to have been a canonry for the cathedral. The house as it stands today was rebuilt by the sixth Lord of Arundell who lived there in 1750. The area around Salisbury Cathedral and its environs were a delight to visit on such a wonderful late summer day and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all.
