It was a glorious June morning when a group of members met beside the Stonebarrow Shop to drink tea and chat and then be guided around the Estate by Hayley Dorrington, NT's West Dorset Careership Ranger.

She took us on a tour of exploration pointing out sites of interest; historical, agricultural and horticultural. She also introduced us to the breeding pair of ravens who weren't at all fazed by our presence.

There are leaflets in the Stonebarrow shop giving suggestions for walks around the estate to be enjoyed whatever the weather.

We were pleased to see the countryside in all its glory on a beautiful sunny morning - but other seasons also have their attractions.
